the Reverend Steve Bailey
The Reverend Steve Bailey is a native of New Westminster. After a long career as an English Department Head and Vice Principal in the Burnaby school district, he served as an adjunct instructor and faculty associate for the School of Education at Trinity Western University. Steve was ordained deacon in 1996 and served the parish of St. John, Shaughnessy for three years, St. Laurence, Coquitlam for 15 years, and the parish of St. Mark, Ocean Park for two years before becoming deacon at St. Bart’s in 2017. Steve serves as an anti-racism educator for the diocese and is part of the Advisory Committee for the Street Outreach Ministry in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. He is also part of the pastoral team at Christenson Village. Steve and his wife Pamela have four sons and five grandchildren.
