The Very Reverend Peter Wall presided at his first eucharist at St. Bart’s On October 26. He comes to the Sunshine Coast after spending 22 years as the Dean of the Anglican Diocese of Niagara and Rector of Christ Church Cathedral in Hamilton ON. Most recently, he served as Interim Dean of St. James Cathedral in Toronto for 15 months. St. Bart’s represents Peter’s 6th interim position.
While we were awaiting the arrival of our interim priest, worship was led by a team of members of the parish who are retired clergy.
Bishop Dixie Taclobao and Padi Julietta Taclobao have served Anglican churches in the Philippines. The Rev. Leslie Lewis was a parish priest in Creston, BC, and assisted at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Izmir, Turkey. Deacon Steve Bailey has served St. Bart’s for many years, officially retiring in 2024 but returning to help while we await our new Vicar.
The team will continue to assist our interim priest as needed.
